Robert McKee and his wife Anne Elliott (both from Drumhome, Donegal, Ireland) along with other kin (including other McKee brothers), settled in Smith Township, Peterborough County, Ontario, Canada around 1831. They received land there and married Fitzgerald, Finlay, Crawford, Randolph, Pelsue, Tarvin and Dalton. Although some remained in Canada, most then traveled to Marshall County, Kansas in 1871.

Sarah McKee Dupriest is the daughter of Kevin McKee. She resides in Northern California with her husband and German Shepherd. She is the owner of an online vintage clothing shop and enjoys genealogy, history, traveling, hiking, painting and cooking.
